Millbrook Falls to Canterbury, 2-9

The Millbrook softball team fell to Canterbury, 2-9, for its first loss of the season. Canterbury is always a tough opponent, and, for the first time this season, the Mustangs were never really able to get the bats going. Millbrook had just four hits in the game, with the biggest an RBI double from Melissa Sheeran '14. Melissa Rome '11, Tori Trovato '12, and Meg Ahern '13 also had hits. Ahern pitched the whole game for the Mustangs, allowing five earned runs on six hits while striking out nine. Sheeran also had a very nice defensive game at first base.
