Millbrook 6 at Kent 0

Millbrook visited Kent for a night game Saturday and was hopeful to pick up where the team had left off two weeks previously.  The first period went very well for the visitors, but Kent's goaltending once again was outstanding and the Mustangs grip on the stick a little tight.  Olivia Farrell came close late in the period, ringing a low shot off the left post, but once again Millbrook went to the locker room in control of the game but with nothing to show for it.  There was no panic, though, and after five more minutes of pressure in the second, Alexa de la Guardia roofed the opener after a nice give-and-go with Emma Hart at the point.  Meg Ahern scored thirty seconds later on feeds from Farrell and Allanah Roopchand.  Goals came easily from then on, with nine Mustangs earning points.  Roopchand Molly Chapman, and Louise Steele-Norton added the goals, with Kelly Fallon and Caroline McCarthy adding assists along with de la Guardia and Ahern.  The defense was airtight, allowing very few shots, and Erin Doerrsam was sharp when she needed to be, especially in the first period when the game was on the line.  It was a terrific team effort and a jolly ride back home.
