Millbrook came up with a much needed win Saturday against Canterbury. It is a meaningful rivalry for both teams. Millbrook jumped out to an early lead and continued to apply pressure. At the half, Millbrook led 6-3 and needed to win the third quarter. Millbrook found the back of the net three times in the third and shut out Canterbury.
All three attackman and our first line midfield scored at least one goal each. The defensive effort by Luke Kochanowski, Jay Livermore and Evan Haney proved too much for the Canterbury attack. Starting goalie Dillon Lawson-Johnson came up with a few huge saves down the stretch. We stuck with the game plan, remained disciplined throughout, and played with purpose.
Next, Millbrook will head south the see Brunswick in another Division I match up.
