On Wednesday, following a 5-day break, Millbrook traveled to league opponents Albany Academy for their second meeting of the season. In their previous game against AA, Millbrook came away with a 6-2 win. Once again, they were victorious. At the end of the first period, the score was 2-0. After two periods and a number of special team goals by Albany the score was 5-3 Millbrook. In the third period, Albany cut the lead to one before Millbrook responded with two goals including Mat Dubuc’s goal that put the game away. The final score was 6-4. Mat Dubuc ’09 scored three times on Wednesday and proved to be a great influence on the team. Evan Haney’09, Joe Theriault ’10, and Josh Frietas ’11 all scored a goal a piece. Tim Cooney ’11 started in goal for Millbrook and stopped 43 shots. The final shot count was 47-62 in favor of Millbrook. The Mustangs begin their home and home against league opponent Williston this Friday.
