Solid Road Win

A solid, consistent team met us at Ethel Walker today. We had to play smart and persevere today, and we did it.  Ireland, current MOTW, only lost 2 games and played her usual aggressive game to secure our first win.  Sophie played a super consistent player in a loss, but at the same time as she was finishing up, both Catherine and Maggie secured solid wins.  Up 3-1 we needed just one win to claim the match.  Lily and Bea got started first and it was a struggle, but they righted the ship after going down 4-5 to win the final 4 games.  Emelia and Lucy continue to impress with an impressive 8-0 win.  Vivan and Estee continued their winning ways 8-2.  The match of the day was at exhibition where Ella and Finley found themselves in a dogfight.  Eventually they secured the win with some fine volleys in a tiebreaker.  Two matches to go, both against Gunn in the next week to earn a bid to the NE tournament.
