Millbrook Shuts Out Miss Hall's, 13-0

The Millbrook Softball Team played a great all-around game and handed Miss Hall's a 13-0 defeat on Tuesday afternoon. Meg Ahern '13 didn't need much run support, as she hurled a no-hitter (the only baserunner reached on an error), striking out nine. However, she certainly got a plethora of offense behind her, especially from Melissa Rome '11 (two doubles, two singles, three runs, and an RBI), Tori Trovato '12 (two singles, a double, a triple, two RBI, and three runs), and Meg Ahern (three doubles, two RBI, and three runs). Melissa Sheeran '14, Holland Harvard '13, and Bria Horsley '14 also added RBI (for Horsley, the first of her career). The Mustangs did some nice work in the field, too, as Amber Koenigsberger '13 hustled from second base to make a nice grab in shallow center, Chloe Gbai '12 caught a towering fly ball in right, Rome and Harvard did great work at short and third, and Sheeran made some nice scoops at first. It was a fantastic team effort and a nice win for the Mustangs.
