Mustangs Travel to Gunnery, Leave with 11-0 Victory

The Millbrook softball team earned its fifth win of the season with an 11-0 victory at Gunnery on Saturday. The Mustangs did a nice job offensively, as every single player on the team got on base at least once. Four players--Amber Koenigsberger '13, Tori Trovato '12, Meg Ahern '13, and Holland Harvard '13--had two RBI. Melissa Sheeran '14 also had one. Sheeran went 4-for-5 on the day. Sarah Butts '12 had a good all-around day, hitting two beautiful singles, scoring a run, and making a nice catch in left field. Lauren Marino '12 earned the tough-kid award for the game, as she was hit by a pitch and later came around to score after a collision with the catcher. Ahern pitched the complete game shutout. She allowed just one hit, striking out 13 and walking 6.
