Millbrook 3 -- Kents Hill 1

Millbrook beat Kents Hill 3-1 in the first game of the Southfield tournament.  The Mustangs came out flying and got out to a quick 2-0 lead, beginning with a goal by Louise Steele-Norton on assists by Kelly Fallon and Alexa de la Guardia after a nice exchange at the point with Ema Waldschmidt.  The second came on e power play goal by Olivia Farrell on an asist by Meg Ahern.  Millbrook kept the pressure on for the rest of the game but was unable to solve Alyssa Corvi's solid play in the nets for the Mainers.  In the third perod, Kents Hill jumped right back into the game when Alexandra Carlbon skated hard around the Millbrook defense's left flank and snuck in a good shot on the short side.  They kept up the pressure but Allanah Roopchand's goal, with assists by Ema Hart and Meg Ahern, with a minute and a half to go, iced things for the Mustangs.  Erin Doerrsam had a solid game in the nets, making some good stops at key moment.
