Millbrook girls x-c beat Chase handily; first-time race for many.

Millbrook girls beat Chase Collegiate School 24 - 39, on the Gunnery home cross country course on Wednesday, Sept. 30th.  This is usually a tri-meet, but the Gunnery does not have a girls team this year.  Perfect running weather -- cool and overcast -- and a short 2.85 mile course, combined for a very fast race.  Captain Ema Waldschmidt '10 led the whole way and finished almost a full minute ahead of the next runner.  After Morgan Mrak for Chase, next in for Millbrook were Alexa de LaGuardia '11 and Celia Manny '10, finishing in a dead heat for third place.  Dale Mauri '11, freshman phenom Olivia Dolan '13, Marie Gray '10, and Emma Feitelson '13, rounded out the top seven runners for Millbrook, and sealed the win.  All of the following completed their first cross country race: Olivia Dolan, Emma Feitelson, Georgia Parent '11, Thea Adler '11, Sarah Mulberry '11, and Rachel DeSimone '10.  Great run!
