On Wednesday, Trinity Pawling came to Millbrook to play in a game which featured two old rivals. Millbrook seemed to have rebounded well after a tough loss at Berkshire the game before and stormed out to a 3-1 lead. The lead came off of goals scored by Blake Bayse '09, Joe Theriault '10 and Mat Dubuc '09. The Mustangs could not sustain the lead, however, and in the third period Trinity Pawling stormed back with two more goals of their own. After a 5 minute overtime period which saw plenty of opportunities for both teams, the game ended in a 3-3 tie. Tim Cooney '11 started in goal for Millbrook and recorded 29 saves off of 31 shots. Millbrook took a total of 29 shots on Trinity Pawling. It was an exciting game to watch and could be a precursor of things to come if both teams make it to the finals of the Empire Cup Tournament (co-hosted by Millbrook and TP). Millbrook's next game is at Pomfret on Saturday at 5:30.
