Millbrook vs. Kent

On Monday night the Mustangs took to the ice to compete against the Kent School of The Founder’s League. Caught on their heels early on, Millbrook found itself killing penalties much of the first period and allowing two early goals including one on the power play. Down 2-0 heading into the second period, Millbrook started to play up to their capabilities and cut the lead by 1 on a short handed goal that was buried by senior captain Evan Haney who was sprung by a brilliant pass from JD Carrabino ‘10. The damage was done, however, and Kent put the icing on the cake when they scored again to make it 3-1. Not a lot of goals and a lot of hard fought battles between two very good teams made for an exciting tilt; however, Millbrook still finds itself winless heading into a game against Portledge on Wednesday. Millbrook goalie Jamie MacMillan ’09 recorded 36 saves in net.
