Millbrook 6 -- Tilton 3

Millbrook got the jump on visiting Tilton (coached by Tim Healy, Millbrook '97) and took an early 2-0 lead on goals by Louise Steele-Norton and Meg Ahern, building it to 4-1 and never looking back. Tilton never gave in, though badly outshot, and chipped in one goal each period, including a gorgeous, high slapshot from from the blue line by the dangerous Tori Bratton. The Mustangs were able to skate eleven forwards, though, and used its superior depth to stay on top of the game for most of the game. Marie Gray and Celia Manny contributed valuable time as substitutes, and it was a great team win. Allanah Roopchand, Alexa de la Guardia and Meg Ahern also tallied for the hosts, with assists too numerous to mention. The defense did a terrific job keeping track of Tilton's floaters and preventing odd-man rushes, and they were poised in the back, passing well breaking out of the zone.
