On home ice this Wednesday, in the last league game before the Empire Cup, Millbrook pulled off one of – if not the -- season’s biggest upset, blasting No. 2 ranked Berkshire 7-3 behind the stellar goaltending of Jamie MacMillan '09 and an all around effort from the boys in blue. After an 8-1 drubbing from Berkshire in their previous meeting, Millbrook jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first with two goals from Mathieu Dubuc '09 and another from Blake Basye '09. Matt Job '10 scored what proved to be the game winner early in the second to put the Mustangs up by 4. Showing why Berkshire is one of the top teams in New England, the Bears brought the game to within one, with 2 power play goals and an even strength bouncer, with just over 5 minutes left in the third. Being in this situation a number of times this year, Millbrook refused to let this game slip away and responded with three goals in a span of 3:07 to finish off the upset. Other big contributors for Millbrook were senior Matt Abbott '09 and sophomore Josh Freitas – each with a goal and an assist. Mat Dubuc '09 completed his hat trick (his third of the season) by netting the team's 7th goal. Millbrook senior goaltender Jamie MacMillan kicked out 37 of 40 Berkshire shots for the win.
