Each Spring, Millbrook School holds a ceremony to recognize the academic, artistic, and leadership accomplishments of our Vth formers. Awards include:

The Founder’s Prize

Congratulations to Alex Siano and Hezi McCoy, this year’s winners of the Founders Prize!

Voted on by the entire faculty, the Founder’s Prize, which was established by Bradford Mills ’44 in honor of Millbrook founders Edward and Lucy Pulling, is awarded to a Vth former “who has displayed an enthusiasm for life’s challenges, a creative and innovative spirit, and a commitment to the community and to team play.”  Recipients receive a scholarship to the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS), Outward Bound, or a similar program for the summer.

Head of School Jonathan Downs ’98 presented the silver Founders Prize cup, offering praise for the two deserving recipients:

  • Alex Siano — “You have earned this honor because of the unique and inspirational character you bring to Millbrook…your integrity and sense of loyalty is a model for us all.”
  • Hezi McCoy — “He’s the best kind of leader because he always makes every effort to bring the best out of others.”
