Girls Grab two Wins in a Row with at least 10 Goals
On Saturday, the girls varsity lacrosse team traveled to the Gunnery School. From the start of the game, the girls dominated. The Millbrook offense came together and scored to win 13-3. They made great connections with one another - “believe” was the word of the game. Olivia Farrell ’10 led with 7 draw controls in the game earning her the nickname “the Farrell Vacuum”. Captains also helped lead the way with Devin Hardy ’08 scoring 1 goal (1 assist) and Mimi Anthony ’08 scoring 5 goals. Nell Burdis ’10 had 2 goals (3 assists), Olivia Farrell ’10 earned 2 goals, Kealin Maloney ’08 had 1 assist, and EviePierrepont ’08 and Molly Chapman ’11 with 1 goal each. Allie Cavanaugh ’08, who played center, also came up with 2 assists. Many kudos to the defense including Hallie Bates ’08, with many great interceptions, and Kristin Zublin ’09. Mary Rose Morrison ’09, goalie, made 7 great saves.
