Millbrook at Hebron

Millbrook began the St. George's tournament against a banged-up Hebron team that looked beatable but ended up outworking and outhustling a deeper Mustang team and hung on for a 4-3 win.  Hebron took a two goal lead in the first, and Millbrook played its one truly good period in the tournament to tie things up in the second, skating hard and generating one odd-man rush after another.  Olivia Farrell and Kelly Fallon scored with assists from Louise Steele-Norton, Allie Cavanaugh, and Mary Rose Morrison.  All the momentum was in Millbrook's favor but a hooking penalty with seconds left proved to be its undoing when Hebron scored a power-play goal to open the third period, and added another a minute later.   Millbrook fought back but was unable to reestablish its second-period dominance.  Steele-Norton's goal with three minutes to play made for an exciting finish, but Hebron came away with a well-earned win.
