Mustangs defeat Miss Porter's
The Mustangs traveled to Miss Porter's on Wednesday for our second-to-last game. We got ahead in the first quarter after passes from sisters Morgan and Lilly Ainley to Lila Pannaciulli who hit it into the net. Porter's quickly answered back a few minutes later to make it 1-1 going into the second quarter. The Mustangs were fired up and got one more goal after Shaye Jasiel made a pass to Lila who sent it quickly to Lilly to get our second goal.
Going into the second half at 2-1, Porter's came ready to fight. However, our defensive team made up of CC Norton, Jess Trocchio, Abby Brown, and Annie Hallock with Bea Zorub in goal, kept them off the scoreboard. After a great play made in the defensive zone, Julia Schereschewsky scored off of a pass from Charleigh Newman to make it 3-1 and solidify our win. While the effort was incredible the entire game, the Mustangs played the best Field Hockey we have seen all season in the 4th quarter. We look forward to meeting Pomfret on Saturday on our turf for the Second Annual Millbrook Pomfret Day.
