Final Season Winner in OT
In a phenomenal end to the season, Millbrook won today's game against Gunnery, 12 -11 in OT. The entire game was a battle, with Gunnery leading by three goals at one point, but 'Brook refused to give up and eventually would bring an 11-11 tie with just over ten-minutes to play in the second half. Goals by Green '21, Hamilton '19, Robinson '19, and Chamberlin '19 gave the team a fighting chance, and the confidence necessary to extend effort, heart, and skill beyond regulation. Due to yellow cards, Millbrook took the field a player-down in a suddent victory, three-minute over-time: goalie K. Bressette '21 had exceptional saves in these final three minutes (facing 16 shots in the entire game, with about four coming in those final minutes), and a tight-knit zone forced a Gunnery turnover. With a final fifty-six seconds on the clock, Millbrook tranistioned the ball down into the attacking zone, and Robinson '19 found the back of the net.
Millbrook will graduate six seniors this spring: Chamberlin, Hamilton, Muscari, Robinson, Whitney, and Van Duyne. We could not be more grateful for their heart, effort, and leadership this spring. Their impact extends well outside just this spring, and they truly have left this program better than they found it.
