Millbrook fought valiantly in their 47-38 defeat to Westover on Wednesday. The players controlled what they could control and played hard from buzzer to buzzer but unfortunately things did not go their way. Millbrook played the right way competing with confidence, and shooting open shots, and getting numerous deflections defensively. Already missing 3 rotation players due to injury the Mustangs faced even more adversity as leading rebounder Khya Jenkins was fouled out of the game early in the 2nd half. Credit to Millbrook as they continued to compete and cut a 14-point deficit in the middle of the second half to 3 points with two minutes left. Unfortunately, the Mustangs ran out of gas and well-coached Westover executed down the stretch to preserve their victory. The Mustangs hope to keep up their hard work and see a few more shots fall on their senior day this Friday against Kingswood-Oxford.
