The Millbrook Mustangs played their best offensive game to date with everyone pitching in and playing their role. The Mustangs consistently cut hard, played aggressive defense, and sprinted their lanes. This consistent effort allowed them to fight back from an early 9-point deficit to find themselves up two points with three minutes left in the game. Hotchkiss took control of the scoreboard with under two minutes after a banked in contested three pointer, a Millbrook turnover, and an layup plus the foul to find themselves up 5 heading into winning time. Credit to the Mustangs for keeping their heads up, getting a stop and a score to pull within three points with 20 seconds left. Following a time out Millbrook was able to force a turnover near midcourt but were unable to gather possession before losing the ball out of bounds. Hotchkiss iced the game with two free throws at the end. The game was well played on both ends by both teams and was an exciting brand of basketball to watch.
