Millbrook’s annual Culminating Experience for Seniors (CES) Festival had the community fully engaged on Friday night and Saturday morning. A total of 78 VIth formers presented their final projects in half hour blocks in spaces around campus, demonstrating impressive talent in the arts, academics, entrepreneurship, and more.
This year’s presentations treated audiences to a wide array of intriguing presentations. Highlights included song writing/production, a full-cast reading of a one-act play, construction projects, and more. Many presentations were interactive, offering attendees the chance to taste maple syrup, attempt high-level yoga poses, and even let a trained hawk perch on their arm.
A requirement for all VIth formers, each student must ideate and pitch their CES project to relevant faculty. Once their idea is approved, they complete at least 15 hours of work during the year researching and developing their project.
