Not a Total Loss
Freezing cold match at Hotchkiss yesterday was not a TOTAL loss. We played nine matches: five singles and four doubles, and lost all but an exciting No. 1 doubles match that went to a TIE BREAK!
We had crisp weather yesterday for our annual match against Hotchkiss JV. They were kind enough to let us use their varsity courts which are protected from the wind. To date, the team has not been seriously challenged because we continue to have a very deep roster. We were, however, no match for the Hotchkiss JV girls. Olivia and Zoe had long points with their opponents and multiple deuces, even though they were each only able to take three games in the eight-game pro set. The real highlight was Sadie and Eleanor at No. 1 doubles, coming from a deficit to win their match in a tie break.
