Millbrook vs. Chase Collegiate

The Lady Mustangs openned their 2009 season with a disappointing tie against Chase Collegiate. After possessing the ball for much of the beginning of the game, sophomore Claire Manny put Millbrook on the score board first with a beautiful volley from a cross by senior Olivia Farrell. Four minutes later, senior Wendy Arias scored the second goal of the contest, followed by Farrell 2 minutes later to put Millbrook into a comfortable 3-0 lead going into half time. Millbrook began the second half much the way they played the first half, with a good deal of possession and ball control. But with 23 minutes remaining, Chase seemingly found their second wind, as Millbrook could not find theirs; Chase would net the next 3 goals to pull the game to a draw. Next up, Marvelwood.
