Girls Lose a Nail-Biter on Parents Weekend
On Millbrook's own Parents Weekend, the girls varsity lacrosse team hosted Williston Northampton. During the first half of the game, both Millbrook and Williston fought hard to control the game. Millbrook came into the second half down 4-7 but came in with their heads held high and their spirits up. They went on to score 3 more goals to Williston’s 2 goals in the second half, ending the game at a 7-9 loss for Millbrook.

Both the senior captains came up with goals; both Mimi Anthony ’08 and Devin Hardy ’08 had 2 goals. Goals also came from Evie Pierrepont ’08 (1) and Nell Burdis ’10 (2). The defense, including Hallie Bates ’08, Kristin Zublin ’09, and MaddieFuller ’10, also contributed to the varsity girl’s fight to stay in the game. Goal tender Mary Rose Morrison ’09 took manyhard shots from Williston but still did a stunning job.
