Millbrook vs. Wyoming Seminary

Millbrook finished its season on a down note, unable to find its recent good form except for brief intervals.  Perhaps overawed by the setting, Ingalls Rink (following an exciting Yale-RPI  game) the Mustangs came out as flat as a pancake and quickly found themselves down 2-0.  Olivia Farrell got her team to within one on a rebound and Millbrook began to generate some offense.  They could not sustain any sort of forecheck for long, though, and Wyoming spaced three more goals over the last two-and-a-half periods for an easy win.  In the last period, Millbrook reverted to some old habits, reluctant to put the puck on net.  It was a tough ending to the season, but offered a useful contrast to how well the team had played of late and how great an improvement it had achieved over the course of the winter.  The game marked the official end to the careers of Claire Bould, Allie Cavanaugh, Devin Hardy, and Kealin Maloney, four seniors who will be missed next year, but who can take pride in the growth of the program in their time here.  Thanks also to all the parents who pitched in to throw a final feed for the team at a local restaurant after the game.
