Holderness outskated Millbrook from start to finish in an exciting 2-1
win, with Millbrook entering the third period tied 1-1 on the strength
of Erin Doerrsam's outstanding goaltending and Kelly Fallon's
brilliant breakaway goal. The game was cleanly played with only two
penalies for either team, but Millbrook's second was an unfortunate
tripping call when a Holderness player fell after being expertly
squeezed off on the boards by Ema Waldschmidt,
who had a terrific game. Holderness got the game-winner on the ensuing
power play, and Millbrook nearly tied it on a "make-up" call with two
minutes to play, skating six-on-four with an empty net. It was the
second straight close finish for Millbrook, but the result was a good
reflection of Holderness' shooting dominance (36-17)
