Millbrook takes on Hebron and Holderness at St. George's Tournament

Hebron Academy 8 -- Millbrook 3

Millbrook took a good first step forward from its rough start to the season by playing with more consistent intensity against a strong Hebron team, led by the outstanding Stephanie Roy.  Millbrook never gave up and scored three goals in the final period.  Claire Bould, Olivia Farrell, and Mary Rose Morrison all netted for Millbrook, with assists from Kealin Maloney, Kaleigh Ferrari and Jen Ascencio.

Holderness 2 -- Millbrook 1

Millbrook gave up two early goals before settling in to play its best all-around game of the year, dominating play for significant stretches.  Holderness goalie Amber Stewart was too tough in the nets, though, and turned aside all Millbrook's shots but one, a terrific deflection by Kristina Blunden of a Jen Ascencio shot.  Erin Doerrsam was just as tough at the other end, making the big stops that gave her team a chance to win.
