Miss Halls Defeats Millbrook in Back and Forth Contest

The Millbrook Mustangs competed hard against a hot shooting Miss Halls team. Miss Halls had the advantage early in the game and found themselves up by as many as 11 in the seconds half. Facing significant adversity on the road the Mustangs made a spirited comeback in the middle of the second half, using a 17-2 run to find themselves up four points with four minutes left in the game. The end of the game was back forth with Miss Halls making two of their 8 three pointers on the game to pull away. While the Mustangs took a little bit to get going, they competed hard and continued to improve as a collective unit. Their 17-2 run in the second half was a flash for the possibilities of this group and is something the team hopes to build on moving forward.
 
Millbrook Highlights
 
The Mustangs boasted a balanced scoring attack with Helen Apollon (14), Khya Jenkins (13), and Kimora Jenkins (12) leading the way in points.
Senior leader Lillie Marcos played excellent minutes off the bench consistently contributing winning plays on both ends of the court.
Zoe Tucker continued her smart and aggressive play with excellent on ball pressure, countless deflections, and consistent effort on both ends of the court.
