Girls Get Convincing W in Last Game of the Season
Wednesday May 21, 2008 Millbrook Varsity girls had their last game
against Miss Porters. The girls acknowledged the seniors on the team
and celebrated their winning season. The girls started the game strong,
putting a goal in Miss Porter’s net 2 mins into the game. Millbrook
ended the first half 11-1, making the game running time for the rest of
the game. The second half started with some gray skies and rain but the
game still went on. 5 mins. Into the game thunder and lighting plagued
the fields. Miss Porter’s team finally decided to forfeit the game to
Millbrook, giving Millbrook a win for their last game. Goals came from
Evie Pierrepont ’08 (4), Kealin Maloney ’08 (1), Captain Devin Hardy
’08 (2), captain Mimi Anthony ’08 (1), Nell Burdis ’10 (3), and Molly
Chapman ’11 (1).
