Millbrook vs. Suffield

On Wednesday girls varsity lacrosse had their first home game. Although the Suffield bus broke down en route and caused the game to be delayed, both teams were ready to play and brought all they had to the field.

In the first half Suffield took the lead, but in second half the Millbrook girls dug deep and came out with a 12-11 victory. Goals came from midfielders Devin Hardy ’08, Nell Burdis ’10, and Allie Cavanaugh ’08, and attackers Evie Pierrepont ’08, Mimi Anthony ‘08 and Molly Chapman ’11. The defense also contributed to the varsity girls' win including Hallie Bates ’08, Kristin Zublin ’09, and Mary Rose ‘09 in goal.
