Mustangs Win Home-Opener
The Millbrook JV basketball team opened at home against a very good Rumsey Hall team, winning in thrilling fashion. The team was led by Kazuki Unayama, who scored 18 points and knocked down clutch free throws down the stretch.
The Mustangs were down by 2 points at half time, but came out and brought a more focused and cohesive effort in the second half. Hoayi Gao scored 13 points for the team and Jon Yalof had a momemtum shifting block down stretch.
The second unit, known as our Platoon 5, was led by Dylan Cox and Jeremy LoSchiavo who combined for 10 points. Nick Brode and Archer Biggs provided stout defense for the Mustangs and Zack Stern brought great energy for the team. Jacob Press kept the momemtum in our favor with hustle and clutch rebounding in the second half.
The Mustangs will return to action after the break at home against Berkshire. Happy Holidays everyone!
