Millbrook students have been working diligently in preparation for this year's fall play, Our Town by Thorton Wilder.
This Pulitzer Prize winning classic chronicles the life of close-knit families and reveals the universal truths that connect us all. It paints an intimate portrait of the beauty and wonder of small town life, as audience members follow the Webb and Gibbs families through their fictional New England town, Grover's Corners.
Thought by many as one of the finest American plays ever written, this classic resonates with modern audiences today just as it did when it was first performed in 1938.
Director of Theater Elaine Lifter chose this play because of its connection with this year's core value, stewardship of the natural world. Students participating in the play have been preparing for their debut and also reflecting through Wilder's lens on how we care for our world, ourselves, and others.
The play will be performed November 10th, 11th, and 12th at 7:30 p.m. in the Chelsea Morrison Theater. We hope to see you there!
