Zooie of the Week - Brendan Hoban '17
Our Zooie of the Week is Brendan Hoban, a first year V former.
Brendan, a shooting guard on our Boy’s Varsity Basketball team, was introduced to Millbrook by varsity basketball coach Billy Thom. When Brendan discovered Millbrook was also home to the Trevor Zoo, his interest in the school grew.
Brendan started working at the zoo this past fall when he helped take care of the animals in our South America barn including the alpacas, rheas, muntjac, and sika deer. He has recently also become a part of the team caring for the marmosets and tamarins.
“I really like Reba, the golden lion tamarin, she’s really nice. I wanted to work with animals and have this first-hand experience. Being one-on-one with the animals, and observing them, building a personal bond with them, that what’s it’s all about. I also want to thank Daniela Muscari who works with me. We’re a great team and we work together really well.”
