Strong Turnout for Alumni Winter Weekend

Alumni joined us over this past weekend for an exciting day of friendly athletic competition, classroom participation, comfort food, and reconnecting with friends.

Millbrook was excited to welcome alumni to campus for the annual festivities. They began their day in the classroom, where they were able to experience our updated facilities and strong academic curricula by participating in various classes including advanced physics and biology, honors geometry, and advanced drawing and painting.

Our alumni then took to the rink and courts where they competed in basketball, squash, and hockey. Rick McWilliams, in his final year before retirement, dropped the puck as the honorary captain of this year's John MacKenzie '46 Coed Alumni Hockey Game. The two team captains of the annual face-off were distinguished alumni John Payne '60 and Bruce Herdman '78.

After working up an appetite, we gathered in the Firestone Room in the Mills Athletic Center to enjoy a spread of comfort food and remarks from Bob Anthony ’65. With full stomachs and strong spirits alumni concluded their day by joining fans to cheer on their favorite Millbrook team.

It was an active day full of Mustang pride and we thank everyone who participated.

Be sure to check out our photo gallery for photographs from the event, which will be posted later this week.
