Third Place at Cheshire OConnell Invitational
The Millbrook Boys ran an amazing race on Saturday at the O'Connell Invitational at Cheshire. Despite the cold and rainy weather, the boys approached the day with wonderful attitude and were great supporters of the girls race before their own. The race itself was a joy to watch. Kazuki ran amazingly, getting ahead early to avoid the bottlenecks on the course and held 4th place throughout the event. Alex and Arthur ran side by side for the full 3 miles as Jackson, Tyler and Victor ran as another pack.
Despite a fantasticly run race the results were unfortunate, coming in third to Kingswood Oxford and Brunswick. However, our top 5 runners all ended in the top 21 places, Kazuki bringing in 4th place. While the team scores were 36 to 55 to 64 respectively, it is worth noting that of the top 20 runners 15 were from the winning 3 schools - really showing the copetativeness of the match.
Appreciations again to Jayden Reaves, Henry Schulz and Chris Wilkins who attended the meet as supporters and were fantastic.
