BVH vs. New Hampton 12/30

Millbrook got a great win against a solid New England opponent to close the Nichols tournament. The two teams played evenly throughout, but New Hampton jumped out to a 1-0 lead late in the first off a pretty goal by their best offensive player. Millbrook put the pressure on the second period, but could not find the back of the net and went into the third still down 1-0. However, Millbrook kept fighting an took the lead 2-1 off two nice goals by Penn Sedaoui. Despite some bad penalties, Millbrook played well the rest of the way to hold on for a hard fought 2-1 win. Tim Cooney continued to play at a very high level in net, and made two great breakaway saves in the final game to help Millbrook earn a 2-1-1 record for the tournament.
