Students put on a compelling show at Millbrook's final Arts Night on May 27th.
Our students' wide range of talents across artistic disciplines were showcased in imporvisation, instrumental ensembles, muscial act performances, choreography, vocal performance, and much more.
Students explored a new format for their final Arts Night of the 2015-2016 academic year, by including student hosts to narrate the evening. "Having students lead the event gave it a more relaxed and engaging feel," said Jake Maren '18, who performed with the instrumental ensemble and athletic ensemble.
The Instrumental Ensemble performed four songs, which included a compilation of spy melodies from famous movies and television shows.
"The instruments in the instrumental ensemble change each year, and it's always a fun challenge to accomodate the instruments we have, and to create music to highlight each section of the ensemble," said Director of Instrumental Music Steve Siktberg.
Millbrook's Chorale made their stage debut at Arts Night. Chorale is a student run vocal organization. They were proud to perform
One Call Away by Charlie Puth, as well as to highight some of their work on harmonies.
Theater awards were also presented to five students by Director of Theater Elaine Lifter.
"These students have shown perseverance, stamina, and incredible work ethic. You have left your mark on these shows and on this stage, and I thank you," said Ms. Lifter when presenting the awards. The following students were honored:
