Advanced Art Students Present Works at Holbrook Made Gallery Event
Millbrook hosted a reception for our annual Holbrook Made event in the Warner Gallery on May 6th.
"Holbrook Made features work by our most advanced students in the visual arts. The tremendous diversity in the gallery space is a testament to their many interests and skills," says Arts Department Chair Sarah MacWright.
This year's show included oil paintings, large scale wooden sculpture, refined ceramic teapots, and photographic work in alternative processes, such as cyanotype and van dyke brown. In addition to making the work, students created artist statements to share their process and intention.
"The day of the opening reception is a tremendously proud moment for the students and school community," says Ms. MacWright.
Congratulations to our advanced arts students on their accomplishments!
