Millbrook Continues At-Home Win Streak

Coach Brown
Runners secure Mustangs' 4-0 dual-meet record. Especially close victory over Gunnery.
On what seasonal experts contend has been the most autumnal day of 2016, the Mustangs edged out bot Gunnery and Salisbury. The only thing cooler than the crisp, fall air was the attitude of Kazuki Unayama and Ben Berg, our co-captains, as they came in 2nd (18:28) and 4th (19:45). Further, after sitting out last week's races, Victor Lou returned to race and came in 7th overall at 21:20. Mateo Winogrand and Sam Iacavazzi rounded out Millbrook's top 5 at 21:24 and 21:40, respectively, but a big kudos also goes to the 6th and 7th men in: Chris Wilkins and Jayden Reaves. The Mustangs beat The Gunnery by 1 point this Saturday, and without Wilkins and Reaves to box out Gunnery's 5th man in, the Mustangs would have lost. Such a close match, with all 7 top runners playing a part, represents Cross Country at its best. Good job to everyone this week!
