Millbrook’s varsity lacrosse program was founded in 1982 by Alan Tate. Alan’s vision of the program still stands true today, building first-class student-athletes and members of the Millbrook community. At the heart of our program is respect—respect for teammates, opponents, and the development of skills in all players. Over the past 25 years, Millbrook has had the ability to build an extremely competitive schedule against the strongest teams in New England, such as Salisbury, Hotchkiss, Taft, and Westminster.

In the end, we are proud of the many exceptionally talented and dedicated lacrosse players who choose to play at the next level. We have had student-athletes matriculate to The University of Virginia, Penn State, Loyola (MD), Towson, Drexel, Denison, Hobart, Bellarmine, Pace, Hampden-Sydney College, Trinity College, MIT, Gettysburg, Ithaca, Union College, St. Lawrence, Hamilton College, Rochester Institute of Technology, Connecticut College, Endicott, Rhodes, Washington and Lee, Ohio Wesleyan and Hartwick College.

Bio
Mr. Mullen brings a wealth of lacrosse experience to Millbrook School. A coach at The Pennington School in New Jersey for three years, Mullen worked with the junior varsity for one year, and was assistant varsity lacrosse coach focusing on defense and goalies for two years. While still in college,
Mullen was head coach at Caravel Academy in Bear, DE, starting a lacrosse program there.

Mullen is a 2003 graduate of the University of Delaware where he earned four varsity letters in lacrosse. He started in goal for this excellent Division I program for three years. Mullen was a two-time All Conference Selection. At the end of his junior year, he was voted MVP by his teammates and co-captained the team his senior year. Mullen is currently second on the all time career saves list at the University of Delaware.

In high school, Mullen was the starting goalie at Ridley, near Philadelphia and played on the 1997 and 1998 state championship teams. His senior year at Ridley, Mullen was co-captain and selected as a first team All-State goalie.

In addition to coaching lacrosse, Mr. Mullen will work in the Admissions department at Millbrook as an associate director of admissions.
