Mr. Mitchell is experienced both as a coach and a player and brings skill and dedication to the lacrosse and soccer teams here at Millbrook. His love of these two sports stems from his own experience as a player starting at Westminster high school with 3 years in lacrosse and 3 years on varsity soccer and continuing at Colby College as a 3-year varsity soccer player.  

As the head coach for boys jv lacrosse and the assistant coach for boys varsity soccer, Mr. Mitchell enjoys teaching students about the games he loves. The lessons he particularly strives to impart: what it means to be a part of a team, to compete and to be a good sportman. He looks forward to the excitement generated by a surprise performance, and thoroughly enjoys watching the students grow as people and players.

Having coached at Millbrook for the past 4 years, there are several highlights that stand out:

Boys JV Lacrosse:
    - overtime win vs. Albany Academy in 2006
    - creating players

Boys Varsity Soccer:
    - Beating the #1 seed in the first round in 2005
    - Semi-final round in 2005 (#8 seed)
    - Quarter-final round in 2006 (#7 seed)
    - Winning the Division II LAX title two years in a row (2004 & 2005)
