As of today, Millbrook School has launched a new back end to the website. The back end is what you see when logging in via the Community Login at the top right of the Millbrook homepage.
When you click to log in the first thing you will notice is a complete visual overhaul. Don’t worry though, despite having a new visual treatment, your login information has remained the same. If you have any trouble logging in there is a Login Help button to the bottom-right of the login box that will walk you through resetting your password.
Once you have logged in your landing page will be the Activity Stream. The Activity Stream displays recent updates in a chronologically scrolling manner, similar to Facebook’s News Feed. On the right side of the page there are multiple buttons providing quick navigation to the athletics scoreboard, athletics calendar, parent calendar, and media galleries.
On the top of every page you will see a blue bar, which you will use for all of your website navigation.
The first button (as seen from left to right of the page) that looks like a magnifying glass is a general search button, which allows you to search the entire Millbrook website by entering keywords.
The second button is the Activity Stream, which provides a drop-down menu with quick links to the athletics scoreboard, athletics calendar, parent calendar and media galleries.
The third button is the directory, which provides a drop-down menu with quick links to the faculty, staff, and student directories. All directories have various filtering options including sorting by grade, state, city, and country.
The fourth button is your Inbox (note: this is not your email or connected to your email in any way) which gives you access to your Messages inbox. Messages are communications made through the website, similar to sending a private message to a friend on Facebook.
The fifth and final button is your Account, which is a drop-down menu that gives you access to your account settings. From these settings you can update your contact information as well as change your login password. “Getting Started” is another useful tool that gives you a tour of the new website and can be found within the Account drop-down menu as well.
Underneath the top bar you will see a button titled Resource Board. From the resource board you will have access to the Parent Portal (which remains to be a source for important archived information) and the Group Finder. You can use the Group Finder to find the team pages for any sports team, which will display the team schedules, scores, and highlights.
We hope that you enjoy using the newly improved website.
