Another close match with Canterbury

Coach Powers
A week later our squeaker of a win (4-3), Canterbury came to Millbrook today for a rematch.  While there were similar results at #2 and #3 doubles and #4 singles - the Millbrook players grabbed early leads and never looked back - there were some incredible close matches.  Elle won a second set tiebreaker to win in two straight sets at #3.  #1 doubles won the first but lost the second and then lost 8-10 in the supertiebreaker.  Molly came back after losing a first set tiebreak to win the second set 6-1, but unfortunately lost the super-tiebreaker. And with both teams watching and cheering for every point, Maggie at #1 was in a real fight.  She won the first set in a breaker, was down in the second 2-5 before roaring back to win 4 straight games.  But the Canterbury player was game, forcing a tiebreaker and winning it.  This led to another supertiebreaker, and Maggie found her game and ran away with it.  After almost three hours of play, Maggie secured our fifth win of the day.  This team is resilient and has great mental toughness to pull out these close matches time and time again.
