Mustangs Outplayed by Tigers in Season Opener

Millbrook's opening game against the class B team, Suffield Academy, showed both moments of promise and moments to be ironed out. Suffield got off to a hot start, and began the game on a 12-2 run. The score stayed within a 4 to 8 point range throughout most of the second and third quarters thanks to the sparks that Za'Nyah Bernard '25, Jess Farrell '24, and Stella Renzi '26 offered on both the offensive and defensive ends. Both teams hustled hard and dove on the floor for loose balls, though the Mustangs left a number of points on the table at the free throw line. In the fourth quarter, Suffield pulled ahead with some timely baskets, defensive pressure, and made free throws to put the game away. Both teams played hard and appear poised for exciting seasons.
