Millbrook loses their first game this season

Millbrook faced the most challenging team so far this season from Holderness School.  Small mistakes made by the Mustangs ended up giving Holderness a small lead at halftime, but then the mistakes added up in the 2nd half to put a Mustang victory out of reach.
Holderness School made the long drive to Millbrook to face the Mustangs in their first meeting at Callard Field.  Holderness started the scoring off with two touchdowns, with one two-point conversion.  The Mustangs bounced back in the 2nd quarter with two touchdowns, the first on a 25 yard TD reception by WR Matt Sardo, and the 2nd touchdown on a 1 yard TD run by QB Mac Elliott.   Holderness countered with a kickoff return touchdown.  Immediately afterwards, the Mustangs scored on a 75-yard kickoff return by Ethan Kessler with 5 seconds left in the half to have the Mustangs trail only 2 points at halftime, with a score of 18-20.

In the 2nd half, Holderness scored 3 more touchdowns, and the Mustangs were not able to generate any scoring to finish the game with a final score of 18-38.

The Mustangs next face Forman School on Callard Field Friday night, October 29th.
