After almost 2 weeks of preparing for their first match, the Mustangs were eager to play an opponent other than themselves. They came out strong in the first set behind some excellent serve receive and strong serving building a 24-11 lead. Christian Heritage went on a remarkable 13 serve run to tie the first game up at 24-24. The first set ended with a missed serve by the visitors and an ace by Jenna Bressette following a timeout. Game two was a different story as it was back and forth until Christian Heritage built an 15-18 lead. With a string of a few kills and aces from Danielle Singer, the Mustangs were able to eke out the second set. Sarah Hoover had 3 of her 4 kills in the set including on game point to win 25-22. Set 3 was a mirror image of set 2 with teams exchanging points throughout. Down 16-21, Piper Strautman served 6 straight to tie the game up at 22 a piece. Strautman ended the match with her eleventh kill off of a Simone Yañez dig. The Mustangs took the third set 26-24.

Quote of the match: "That was the most athletic thing I have ever done in my life." - Sarah Hoover after making a one-handed save and getting one of her team high 3 block kills in the same play.
