Mustangs Top Forman, 17-3

The Millbrook Varsity Softball team beat Forman 17-3 on Friday afternoon in a rematch of the Mustangs’ semifinals victory from last year. Millbrook scored three in the top of the first and never looked back, scoring at least twice in every inning. Offensive standouts for the game were Jackie Crowley ‘20, who went 5-for-5 with a pair of doubles, Jessie Foote ‘18, with three RBI and four runs scored, Alyssa McLeod, who went 3-for-4, and Riley Croghan, who crushed a two-run homer to deep center. Croghan also earned the win, helped by a beautiful over-the-shoulder catch by center fielder Helene Apollon in the last inning. It will be a quick turnaround for the Mustangs, as they head to King tomorrow.
