Big Quarterfinal Win

Governor's Academy had come off a big 1-0 win against Brooks on Saturday to propel them to spot in the playoffs. They kept that momentum going, scoring just two and half minutes into the game on a breakaway. Melissa Sheeran would answer with just over two minutes to play in the period on a nice low, hard shot from the inner hash marks. Millbrook had plenty of chances in the second period, but Govs really knew how to block shots, and the girls didn't help by shooting pucks wide. Finally, with just over a minute to play in the period, Alyssa Domsodi sent a shot from the point to the far post, and Morgan Wilm was there to deflect it in. Millbrook held strong in the third, surrendering very few scoring opportunities. Morgan Moffat was there to stifle any chances. Millbrook will head back to Loomis to face Brooks in the semifinal on Saturday.
