Millbrook Blanks Gunnery in Win

Millbrook overcame 10 (yes, 10!) penalties to prevail over defending champion Gunnery 2-0. The score was tied and the game even until 9 minutes remaining in the third when Arianne Boisvert unloaded a shot from the point that Courtney Bolduc deflected masterfully past the Gunnery net-minder. Melissa Sheeran made a nice move to score on her backhand with just over 5 minutes remaining, and Millbrook never looked back (although Gunnery certainly didn't make it easy). Morgan Moffat was a rock in net yet again, and earned her first shutout of the season. Millbrook goes on the road Saturday to face Greenwich Academy at Chelsea Piers in Stamford.
