Millbrook Battles for Tie

Millbrook made another long trip on Saturday to Williston to face one of the best teams in New England. The story of the game was goalie Morgan Moffat, who was in the zone for all 50 minutes (45 regulation plus 5 overtime) and turned away 28 of 29 shots. Alyssa Domsodi, Steph Heresniak, Meg Lahey, and Arianne Boisvert all played valiantly on defense as well. Millbrook could not muster much offense, but capitalized on a fast break in the first period for a goal from Melissa Sheeran. Millbrook killed off a 5 on 3 to start the third, but Williston eventually got on the board on a deflection with about 10 minutes to play. The teams went back and forth in overtime, but the game would end in a tie. Great effort by everyone, and they will all have the bumps and bruises from physical play and numerous blocked shots to show for it.
